Srinagar, Mar 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Nationalist People’s Front (JKNPF) organized a rally today to protest against the drug menace and to send a message to those playing politics with the lives of youth in Kashmir.

The party leaders said that JKNPF has launched the fourth phase of its campaign to make the region drug-free, corruption-free, and violence-free. They informed the campaign, which began in North Kashmir and moved through South Kashmir’s Pulwama, Anantnag, and Kulgam, has now entered Srinagar.
JKNPF said some political parties deliberately push the youth towards drugs. He said JKNPF believes that youth are the future, and securing their future is crucial for politics. “JKNPF opposes this kind of dirty politics and aims to bring a revolution, but it can only be achieved by following the right path,” it said.
The JKPF has launched an anti-drug drive, which not only covers drugs but also targets corruption and violence. “The party is committed to making drug-addicted youth healthy again and will take them to drug de-addiction centers to ensure proper treatment,” the JKNPF said.
The JKNPF has urged the people to come forward and help them identify the youth affected by drugs so that they can provide proper treatment, “today’s rally is important as it not only raises awareness about the evils of drugs but also warns those who are supplying them. Society needs to come together to fight this social problem,” a party leader said.
He said that the party has dedicated a separate team at their office to deal with all drug and addiction-related issues, “the party has promised to help those involved in addiction and ensure their proper de-addiction,” he said. He assured people that if drug activity is happening anywhere, they can inform them, and their identity will not be disclosed.
