JAMMU, Feb 7: Government has delegated the powers of Chairman, J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) to the Secretary of the Board.
According to order issued by Commissioner Secretary, School Education, Shaleen Kabra, the decision has been taken due to the transfer of Nirmal Sharma from the post of Secretary, School Education Department, who was also holding the additional charge of the post of Chairman, JKBOSE.
According to the order, the powers of Chairman have been conferred upon the Secretary JKBOSE to ensure timely conduct of exam, drawl and disbursement of salaries to the employees of the Board and other day today functions.
The order has been issued under Section 32 of JKBOSE Act 1975.
The stop gap arrangement for the post of Chairman JKBOSE is being made ever since Prof Nutan K Resutra was removed from the post of Chairman JKBOSE on the direction of Division Bench of State High Court in PIL titled Sheikh Mohammad Shafi and Another versus Union of India and Others.
