JAMMU, Feb 7: Kashmiri Visthapit Sangathan (KVS) and Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has expressed grave concern over the non disbursement of ration and relief among the migrants putting up in Delhi NCR.
In their separate statements KVS president Rakesh Kaul and KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri said that Kashmiri migrants putting up at Union Capital are facing hardships due to non disbursement of cash relief and ration for last four to five months among them.
They sought immediate intervention of the Union Government in the matter and demanded that the cash relief be released without further delay.
Kaul and Kashmiri also demanded enhancement of cash relief as already announced by Union Home Minister, implementation of employment package in letter and spirit and settlement of other demands of the displaced people.
They said that in view of the coming Maha Shivratri festival the government should ensure supply of walnuts, ration and other essential commodities.
They also cautioned the BJP leadership that in the event of a coalition with PDP the interests of Kashmiri Pandits and people of Jammu region should not be sacrificed.
