Srinagar, Feb 7: The new Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has cautioned the employees of the department about sloth work culture and said that stern action under rules will be taken against the officials who will be found responsible for any lapse or derailing the system.
A spokesman of the DSEK said that the Director Showkat Ahmad Baig chaired a high level meeting of all Chief Education Officers, DIET Principals and staff officers of Directorate at his office.
“He strongly emphasized upon the officers that betterment of work culture in school education system is his priority with eradication of corruption at all levels and all manifestations,” the spokesman said.
He said main issues like regularization of Rehbar-e-Taleem and G.P. Fund pendency’s were discussed.
He said that the Director emphatically told the participants that no file should lie undisposed before an officer for more than three days else action would be taken.
“He clearly directed all the CEOs and other officers to implement the orders of detachment of teachers in toto within two days and ensure that the detached teachers join at their substantive places of posting,” he said.
Overwhelmed by the public and employee response, Director assured the people that pendency issues and cases will be looked into and disposed as quickly as possible.
“The Director said that Administration, the teachers and the public make an organic whole which must function for the cause of education. And it is here that our responsibilities have to concretize into positive action,” the spokesman said.
