BARAMULLA, Sept 22: J&K Grameen Bank under the chairmanship of RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized awareness programme on the recently launched Pradhan Mantri’s Social Security Schemes at Kamal Kote and Boniyaar in district Baramulla.
DDM NABARD, Rouf Zargar who was chief guest on the occasion spoke at length about the various schemes of NABARD i.e., Farmer Clubs (FC’s), Self Help Groups (SHG’s) and Joint Liability Groups (JLG’s).
VK Sharma, Sr. Manager MF&FI Department J&K Grameen Bank informed the participants at length regarding the benefits of newly launched Security schemes and other bank schemes.
He further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch.
LDM Baramulla, Mr Javed and FLC Baramulla, Sultan Dar also spoke on the occasion.
Maqsood Mir, Nodal Officer FID RO Kashmir threw light on JLGs and Farmer Clubs etc.
The camp was attended by various Line Departments representatives besides huge gathering and Panchs and Sarpanchs of the area.
Abdul Qadir Financial Literacy counselor, J& K Grameen Bank District Baramulla while speaking on the occasion informed the gathering about various bank schemes and presented vote of thanks.
