KATHUA, Dec 21: A housewife allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at village Khorot, falling under the jurisdiction of Hatli Morh Police Post.
As per police sources, a woman identified as Beena Devi (40), wife of Omkar Singh allegedly consumed some poisonous substances at her residence at village Khorot.
Finding her unconscious, family members shifted her to District Hospital Kathua and was later referred to GMCH Jammu, where she failed to respond to the treatment and breathed her last.
A case in this regard has been registered at Hatli Morh Police Post and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
