RAMNAGAR, May 5: Pradesh Youth Congress general secretary, R S Pathania has alleged that State Government was shielding the corrupt elements.
Addressing public meeting at Dak Bungalow here today, Mr Pathania alleged that there has been massive irregularities and bungling in the works executed in the area and he raised the issue before the concerned authorities, but it seems that Government has decided to shield the corrupt elements. In a few cases, just face saving inquiries have been initiated, which shows that vested interests within the Government are hand in glove with the corrupt elements in Ramnagar and want to stall inquiries regarding gobbling up of crores public money.
The Youth Congress leader pointed out that the public of the area wants to know as to what action Government has taken to bust contractor-politician nexus in Ramnagar despite providing clinching evidences. Tangible records through RTIs regarding mis-utilisation of CDF, plan and non-plan funds besides additionalities have been produced but no action has been taken in this regard. On many roads sub-standard work has been executed and the concerned agencies have shut their eyes. He demanded that works being initiated on various PMGSY roads be completed without any further delay.
