“This Government talks of ending corruption, but in reality, there has been more corruption over the years, and to support that, there are examples of three recruitments, SI, FAA and JE Jal Shakti,”  she said here.
She said that all three recruitments were cancelled because the leadership of political parties was involved in the irregularities at the top, due to which the youth of J&K have been left to suffer despite working hard for years together.
Mufti said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Mufti Mohammad Sayeed took steps which led to opening of cross-LoC roads in Jammu and Kashmir.
“For the resolution of the Kashmir issue, Atal Bihari Vajpayee took some measures along with Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, due to which dialogue took place, and the roads were opened up,” she said.
“They carry out the trade from the Wagah border; ensure sports diplomacy, but our roads such as Muzaffarabad and Rawlakot through which our people used to do a little trade have been shut down,” she said.
“The coercion which is being used needs to end and it will end; if it is not addressed at the right time, the country will have to face the consequences of it,” she said.
She said that the political parties have to support each other for the protection of the identity of J&K.
“The rights of people have been scuttled post-August 5 2019. The political parties have to come together, where they need to support each other, especially with regard to the protection of the identity of J&K,” she said.
Mehbooba said that Government has failed to protect the Kashmiri Pandits.
“Concerning the killings of Kashmiri Pandits, the Government has failed in protecting them even as they use their issue during elections. We are committed to the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits,” she added.
