JAMMU, Aug 25: The Government of J&K has fixed the fee structure for BDS, BAMS, ANM, GNM and other para-medical courses offered by the different Government medical and para-medical institutes of J&K.
Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department, Atal Dulloo told Excelsior that fee structures for MD and MBBS courses were already fixed but those of BDS, BAMS, ANM, GNM and other para-medical courses were left out.
“Now fee structures for all these courses have also been fixed and this shall be followed by all the Government medical and para-medical institutes of J&K,” he informed.
As per a Government order the fee structure for BDS course in Government Dental College Srinagar/Jammu is-Rs 26,250 for the first year; Rs. 6,250 each for second, third and fourth years.
The fee structure for MDS course is-Rs. 25,000 for first year; Rs. 1500 for second year and Rs. 1500 for third year while fee structure for Diploma in Dental Hygienist Course is Rs. 10,000.
The order also stated the fee structure for BAMS course in Government Ayurvedic Medical College Jammu as-Rs. 26,250 for first year; Rs. 15,575 (Rs. 9375+Rs. 6200) for second year wherein Rs. 6200 is Compulsory Education Fee; Rs. 6250 for pre-final BAMS and Rs. 6250 for final year BAMS.
The order mentioned fee structure for the courses in ANM/GNM Schools of J&K as-Rs. 4000 for FMPHW/ MMPHW for 1 &1/2 years; Rs. 9000 for 3 years GNM (General Nursing Midwifery course); Rs. 6000 for Medical Assistance (Pharmacist) for 2 years; Rs. 6000 for Laboratory Assistant, 2 years course; Rs. 6000 for Dental Assistant, 2 years course; Rs. 6000 for X-Ray Assistant, 2 years course; Rs. 6000 for Ophthalmic Assistant, 2 years course; Rs. 6000 for OT Technician, 2 years course; Rs. 6000 for Anesthesia Technician, 2 years course and Rs. 6000 for ECG Technician, 2 years course.
The order also stated that the fee structure shall be reviewed by the department after every 5 years.
