JAMMU, Oct 16: A girl today made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Bari Brahmana area of Samba district, a police spokesman said.
He said the girl has been identified as Aatma Shaheen (18) daughter of Mohd Parvez and resident of Meen Charka in Bari Brahamana. She was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition is stated to be critical, he added.
However, it was not known why she took this extreme step.
The concerned Police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
