JAMMU, Oct 16: The skaters of Banyan International School (BIS) brought laurels for the school by winning four medals in CBSE North Zone Roller Skating Championship, held in Chandigarh.
With over 190 schools from all over North India competing, the students of BIS won four medals. Jasleen Kour won the gold medal in the U-19 Road Race while Amritpal Singh won a silver medal in the U-19 Rink category and a bronze medal in the Road Race for the same age group.
Nishchal rounded off the medal tally for the school with a bronze in the U-16 Rink category whereas Chandeep Singh was awarded a trophy as a token of appreciation for his participation.
Jasleen and Amritpal have qualified for the National Skating Championships that will be held in December.
