Gaurav hits out at China, Pak over J&K remarks

JAMMU, May 27: BJP spokesperson and convener, International Affairs, Gaurav Gupta today launched a blistering attack on Pakistan and China over their joint statement on Jammu & Kashmir, accusing them of conspiring against India’s sovereignty through “lies, illegal occupation and propaganda.”
Gupta said the China-Pakistan nexus stands fully exposed before the world, with both nations attempting to interfere in India’s internal affairs while themselves violating international norms and territorial integrity.
“Pakistan is a global hub of terrorism and China is shamelessly backing its anti-India agenda for strategic gains. Both are united in their hatred for India and their illegal designs in J&K,” Gupta said.
He asserted that J&K and Ladakh are inseparable parts of India and warned that no amount of joint statements, propaganda or diplomatic gimmicks can alter this fact.
“Pakistan first illegally occupied Indian land and now China is trying to legitimize that occupation through CPEC projects in PoJK. India will never tolerate any attempt to compromise its sovereignty. Both countries should remember that J&K belongs to India and will remain India’s forever,” he said.
Gupta said India has once again sent a clear message that third-party interference in Jammu & Kashmir will not be accepted under any circumstances. “Instead of spreading propaganda against India, Pakistan should answer why terrorists continue to flourish on its soil. China too must stop acting as a shield for a failed terror state,” Gupta added.
Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs categorically rejected the references to J&K in the China-Pakistan joint statement and reiterated that the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh “have been, are and will always remain” integral and inalienable parts of India.
