JAMMU, May 27: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has begun a series of review meetings with committees formed at the sector and booth level in Jammu and Kashmir, in preparation for the District Development Council (DDC) and Panchayat elections.
On Wednesday, BSP’s JKUT president, Darshan Rana launched the review meetings. Addressing the review meeting, under the chairmanship of Party’s Assembly in-charge Yash Paul Bhagat, Rana stated that the purpose of the review meetings is to energize party workers so that the party can participate strongly in all upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir and perform well.
Rana further stated that review meetings have been initiated at the sector and booth level in the Jammu Zone, and these meetings will be held in other assembly constituencies in the coming days. He said the party will participate strongly in the DDC, BDC, and Panchayat elections and will strive to nominate promising candidates who can serve the people after winning.
During the meeting, Zone Incharge Charanjit Chargotra said in his address that the party will contest the Local Bodies elections as well as the District Development Council and Panchayat elections with full preparation and the party will strive to win as many seats as possible.
General secretary Raja Singh, Coordinator and District Samba Incharge Satpal Baboria, Captain Amarnath, Ajit Kumar Joginder Bhagat and other party members were also present during the meeting.
