UDHAMPUR, Apr 2: Majalta police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling by arresting two smugglers and rescuing four animals, being carried, illegally by them.
According to the police reports, acting on reliable information, a police party of police station Majalta laid a surprise naka near Majalta and intercepted one Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK14C-6307, which was on its way towards Kashmir.
During search, the Tata Mobile was found loaded with four bovine animals. Police rescued these animals and seized the vehicle besides arresting the smugglers namely Mohd Billu (driver) son of Shatoo of Bharnara and Reshma Bibi wife of Talib Husan of village Palnu.
