UDHAMPUR, May 14: Police registered an FIR against a social media page for allegedly uploading and circulation of provocative content
According to Police, FIR number 203/2026 has been registered under relevant sections of BNS regarding circulation/ uploading of provocative content on social media in connection with a sensitive issue reported from village Sambal.
It had come to notice that provocative and inflammatory content/videos were allegedly circulated through social media page “Udhampur Awaaz” having the potential to disturb public peace, communal harmony and law & order.
It is pertinent to mention that Udhampur Police had already issued an advisory cautioning the public against circulating or sharing any unverified, misleading or provocative content on social media platforms and warned that strict legal action shall be taken against violators under relevant provisions of law.
