ETT students hold protest against BOSE

JAMMU, Sept 16: Elementary Teacher Training (ETT) students appealed Board of School Education (BOSE) to conduct the pending exams of the 2008-10 session at the earliest, otherwise, they will hold protest rally from BOSE premises to Governor House on September 28.
Carrying pla-cards and amid slogans, ETT students hailing from Haryana, Punjab, New Delhi, Rajasthan, etc assembled at Press Club, this afternoon, and held a protest demonstration against the BOSE authorities, for not conducting the pending exams of 2008-10 batch till date.
Talking to media persons, one of the ETT students, said that thousands of the students hailing from different States came to J&K to pursue two years Elementary Teacher Training (ETT) course, but till date the BOSE, failed to conduct the pending examination of 2008-10 batch.
He said that the students are coming to J&K to appear in the examination after spending huge amount, but BOSE authorities are not taking their exam, compelling them to come on roads.
He alleged that the BOSE is conducting the second year exams of 2009-11 batch, but failed to conduct the first year examination of the 2008-10 batch, which is pending till date.
ETT students urged the BOSE authorities to conduct the examination earliest, otherwise, they would hold massive protest rally and submit memorandum to Governor.
They appealed all the ETT students to assemble in the BOSE premises and participate in the protest rally on September 28, to press upon the authorities for redressal of their genuine demand.
