JAMMU, Sept 16: Rohit Choudhary, resident of a border village ‘Korotana Kalan’ in RS Pura, has proved that where there is a will there is a way, by launching a unique website for the volunteer blood donors in the State, with a motive to serve those in dire need of blood immediately.
Three months earlier, when Rohit Choudhary used to interact with his friends on social networking site Facebook, he always said that he wanted to do something for the mankind but people always took it very casually.
But, now after three months, most of them have come to know that he has launched an online blood bank through a website www.indiadonor.in and made the search for the right blood group match easier for the needy.
The most important aspect of Rohit’s achievement is that being a lad from minority community, who doesn’t have educational qualification above +2, has taken such an initiative to serve the mankind honestly.
Rohit, son of Ashok Kumar, who belongs to a Jatt family of a remote village in tehsil RS Pura, said, “ There are not many choices in our area. Man in my community can join Indian Army while the women end getting married at an early age, but I want to do something else and that is why I have launched this website, which contains database of self-interested blood donors spread across the nation”.
He further added that all the database entered in the site is reliable and contains a list of donors, segregrated according to the blood type and location.
He appealed the volunteer donors to register themselves on the website and provide their contact details. Those in need of blood can also put up their requirement on the website, he said.
