DLSA organizes awareness cum counseling camp

UDHAMPUR, Mar 27: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Udhampur in collaboration with Himayat Mission Management unit, Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Satyam Learning Campus Education Society organized one-day placement linked awareness and counseling camp at Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur.
Sarpanches and Panches of 11 blocks of Udhampur district participated in the camp, which was organized under the chairmanship of Principal District & Session Judge Sanjay Parihar (Chairman, DLSA Udhampur). Sandeep Kour Sub Judge (Secretary, DLSA Udhampur) and Principal Degree College Nutan Kumar Rasotra were also present on the occasion.
The Chairman DLSA while speaking on the occasion said that the main purpose of organizing this program was to provide a platform to the unemployed youth to secure the jobs and also to make them aware regarding various Government sponsored schemes pertaining to self employment.
He also highlighted the benefits and importance of different welfare schemes especially the Himayat scheme and urged them to come forward and get benefits of the schemes and the programmes. The Job Fair witnessed the participation of more than 300 educated unemployed youths of the District.
Himayat and different Government Departments like JKEDI, RESTI and DIC participated in the camp and installed their stalls showcasing various self employment schemes being offered by them to the unemployed youths. On spot registration of youths was also done.
Secretary DLSA, while inspecting the stalls, impressed upon the young participants to take benefits of self employment schemes of various Government departments including loans being offered by different departments to establish their own units. He also stressed upon the participants that they should get trained with J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) under their Himayat Scheme in their centers in the District, so that they are also eligible for placements in corporate sector at National Level.
She also ensured the gathering that in future also such Job Fairs cum Placement Drives will be organized in the District wherein more national companies would be roped in so as to provide the jobs to unemployed youth of the District who possess requisite qualifications and have got immense talent.
