Delay in implementation of PM’s job package: JTC

JAMMU, Nov 14: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) was held here, today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president, JTC and SKF.
The meeting discussed various issues confronting displaced Pandits and the participants said that the educated youth of the community who have applied for different posts advertised by Service Selection Board had been selected against different posts while various educated youth were deprived because of lack of merit.
Since one candidate is likely to join against one post only as such the Services Selection Board should re-advertise available posts soon after the selected candidates join against the posts of their choice for affording opportunity to the left out candidates to reapply for the posts to secure jobs.
Pandita, while addressing the participants demanded advertising remaining posts under Prime Minister’s package announced long back in 2008 for affording opportunity of employment to the educated migrant youth.
He further said that a year ago class IV posts had been advertised by Relief Organization (M) Jammu and the eligible interested candidates had applied for their appointment as Class IV but surprisingly despite lapse of more than a year neither interviews have been conducted nor any engagement order of the eligible deserving candidates has been issued. Pandita demanded that review of the applications submitted by the candidates for their engagement as class IV needs to be made for conducting interviews and issuance of engagement orders in favour of the selected candidates.
