DDC initiates project of laying water pipeline in Maira Mandrian

AKHNOOR, Oct 11: BJP senior leader and DDC member Pandit Suresh Sharma initiated the project work for laying water supply pipe in Maira Mandrian panchayat of Chhamb assembly constituency here today.
The entire project will be completed at the cost of rupees one crore seventy five lakh under Jal Jeevan Mission.
This pipeline will be laid in Maira Mohalla, Thanger, Mohalla Puran Singh, Maira Sathar, Mandrian Mohalla Nargada, Centre Mohalla Rehani, Mund Mohalla thanger as these areas were struggling with acute shortage of water and this project will provide relief to the people through regular supply.
Speaking on this occasion Pandit Suresh Sharma said that a tubewell in Maira Mandrian having fifty thousand gallan capacity reservoir in Maira and thirty thousand gallan capacity reservoir in Mandrian will be set up soon.
Sharma said that the PM Modi Government has launched Jal Jeevan Mission with a motive of providing drinking water through tap to every household across the country. The people are getting regular supply of water under this mission.
Among others who were present included BDC Sushma Devi, BJP mandal president Dr. Ram Lal Sharma, Ashok Purohit, Master Chanchal Singh, panch Shakti Bhagat, Jyoti Devi, Sudesh Bhagat, Vijay Bhagat, Sikander Dev and Balwant Singh.
