Cong capable enough to face challenges: Mir

SRINAGAR, Feb 23: Describing Congress Party as a vibrant force in all the three regions of the State, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC)  president GA Mir has said that Congress fully represents urges and aspirations of the people and is committed to the cause of service them to the best of its ability.
While interacting with a delegation of senior Congress leaders from Beerwah Budgam, which was led by District president Zahid Hussain Jan,  Mir urged the cadres to gear up for the challenges.
The delegation apprised the PCC chief  of organizational activities in Beerwa Assembly segment and vowed to fight against anti- people policies of the PDP- BJP, which is hell bent upon to weaken the Congress Party in order to gain mileage. It maintained that  cadre is capable enough to face the challenges.
Speaking on the occasion Mir told the delegation that they should feel strong and continue to work with great vigor for the development and well being of the people, for the fact that  Congress is an instrument of service to the people with a history of 130 years in service of the people. He said Congress is the only unifying force in the country and will continue to remain as a bridge between communities of every religion or region and is committed to the cause of uniting people in the country as well as in the State.
He told the leaders to remain vigilant and defeat the divisive politics being played by PDP- BJP for the sake power. He said both PDP- BJP are making serious efforts to weaken and divide the secular forces especially Congress  in the State.
Prominent among those part of the delegation included PCC spokesperson Farooq Andrabi, senior leaders Abdul Gani Naseem, Gazi Ruhalla, Mir Mustafa Magami, Master Mohd Abdullah, Ghulam Hassan Teli,  Mohd Ahsan Mir, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Abdul Majeed Salami, Farooq Ahmed Zohra, Sarfaraz Matoo and GM Shah.
