KARGIL, Jan 2: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan along with the Executive Councilor Tourism and Zanskar Affairs Phunsog Tashi today held a meeting with the Secretary to Government of India Civil Aviation Department Pardeep Singh Khorala at Air Headquarter New Delhi and discussed with him various issues related to the early operation of civil flights to Kargil.
The CEC urged the Secretary Civil Aviation to expedite the submission of report of Kargil Airport for its expansion and immediate execution of works, early operation of civil aircrafts to the district under UDAN scheme and construction of No- Frill Airport at Zanskar.
Several other key issues with regard to the present status of air connectivity in Kargil also came up for discussion during the meeting.
The Secretary Civil Aviation gave a patient hearing to all issues and assured the CEC to address them on top priority.
