JAMMU, Apr 24: BJP leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started the re-construction work of lane and drains in Ward 56 Gangyal of Gandhi Nagar constituency today after following the COVID guidelines and norms.
Billawaria, while speaking on the occasion said that the demand of the people has been met at a cost of around Rs five lakh. He assured the people that other works which have been started to benefit the local residents would be completed in a time bound manner. He asked the officials to adopt cost effective methods for quality work. Billawaria said that the Modi Government is for the poor and in view of the second wave of Corona Virus, the Central Government has once again announced the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for poor families.
He said under this scheme, the Central Government will provide five kg of additional food grains (rice/wheat) per person free of cost to the ration card holders in May and June. This will benefit 80 crore people. Billawaria said that the Modi Government is fully with the countrymen in this disaster.
