SAMBA, Jan, 17: Bharat Darshan tour to Delhi & Hyderabad for 150 students of district Samba culminated today at DPL Samba. The closing ceremony was presided over by Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Shakti K. Pathak who was accompanied by Additional SP Samba, Dy.SP DAR Samba and DySP Operations in presence of parents of the touring students.
The tour was flagged off from district Police Headquarters Samba on January 11, which was organized by J&K Police, district Samba under MHA GoI programme. A total of 150 students selected across the district under the programme along with 09 police official ranking from constable to Inspector as caretakers headed by incharge tour DySP DAR, Samba were sent on tour to Delhi and Hyderabad. District Police Samba had made all the requisite arrangements including boarding and lodging for comfortable stay of the students including transportation for sites seeing.
The students made their journey by means of flights to and fro from Delhi to Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, SSP Samba congratulated the students for their successful journey. He said that the tour has provided opportunity to the students to know about the cultural diversity of India and see different places of historical importance, tourist interest in National Capital Delhi and Hyderabad. SSP Samba also awarded seven touring students for their good behaviour and discipline during the entire tour.
They included Banshika Jamwal, Udhay Angurana, Rhidima, Samriti, Vishakha Sharma, Chaitanya Slathia, Jyotish Kumar and Rubal Dabgotra.
During the tour, students visited Police National Memorial, Lotus Temple, Red Fort, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Raj Ghat & Qutub Minar in Delhi. They also met with Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoS, PMO at New Delhi and had live interaction with him. The sites visited in Hyderabad included Birla Mandir, Science Museum, Charminar, Hussain Sagar Lake, Golkonda Fort & Salarjung Museum.
In their feedback, students shared their valuable comments by expressing their heartiest gratitude towards the Samba Police for providing such a great opportunity to explore various cultures, traditions and ethos present in other parts of the nation. It was a life changing experience for them, narrated by the students.
