Bhandari’s concern over water scarcity in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, Dec 28: Congress leader and member Civil Society, Kishtwar, Shamsher Singh Bhandari has expressed grave concern over the water scarcity and power crisis being faced by the people in Kishtwar district.
In a statement issued here, today Bhandari said people in far flung areas are facing shortage of ration while the quota of sugar has been totally stopped for unknown reasons.
He said as the Kishtwar is a Kandi belt and maximum area remains cut off due to snowfall in Winter so the Government was supposed to dump the adequate ration so that the people do not face any problem due to road blockade.
He also demanded that a new water supply scheme be constructed for the Kishtwar town to meet the requirements of people. Highlighting other issues he demanded filling up of vacant posts of doctors and para medical staff in the DH Kishtwar and other hospitals in the district besides posting of teachers in schools and appointment of local youth in Pakul Dool Power Project.
