JAMMU, Feb 13: A deputation of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) called on the Director of School Education to brought in his notice the problems are being faced by the teacher and Masters in the department and the mess created by the predecessor in the department.
The deputation was headed by Balwan Singh, president of the federation. They pointed out that teaching staff in offices and schools as deployment and attachment malpractice is degrading the standard of education of J&K.
The non-resident Masters and Lecturers were adjusted in Jammu on the posts of Masters and Lecturers repatriated after serving in other district were not adjusted. Therefore large numbers of Masters and Lecturers are surplus in Jammu, Samba and Kathua. They added that Masters who have completed their tenure outside their districts after getting their promotion in far-flung areas be given the chance to serve at their home district nearest to their resident.
The members of the federation also requested the S Simranjeet Singh Director School Education to frame the norms based on the transfer policy to streamline the Education system in the best interest of the needy students studying in Government schools. Federation apprised the DSE that Masters working in the odd/far-flung areas of Jammu district also be given the chance to serve in their home localities. Issues of the Masters who have been promoted as I/C Lecturers in various disciplines and are hanging in the air for their adjustment after repatriated be adjusted as Lecturers.
The Director School Education assured the deputaionists for early redressal of genuine demands.
Other attended the deputation included Chaman Lal Sharma, Shamsher Singh, Sudarshan Sharma, Tara Chand, Sandal Singh, Sudershan Kumar Verma, Dinesh Singh, Rakesh Kalgotra, Suresh Kumar, Yaseen Ahmed, Yash Paul and others.
