JAMMU, Feb 13: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Viklang Chattra Trust through its organizer Satya Pal Saraf regarding better care of old age home, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Bansi Lal Bhat today directed Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to consider the prayer made by the Khukaran Chairtable Trust wherein the applicant was willing to donate 10 kanal of land at Katal Batla and a decision be taken within three weeks.
After hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi for the PIL whereas Senior AAG Gagan Basotra for the State, DB also directed Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir to expedite the identification of 16 kanal suitable land with Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama, on priority basis and the report be filed within three weeks.
