JAMMU, July 30: The All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) has expressed grave concern over water crisis in Jagti township.
In an appeal to Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha the AIMCCC chief, Desh Rattan Pandita has sought his personnel intervention in the matter saying that the water supply in the township has been disrupted for last six days and inmates of the township have been put to many hardships.
He said present water supply project has proved a failure for last 32 years. Administration was time and again requested to look into it but to no avail. Jagti residents are the main sufferers .He reiterated his appeal to administration to search alternate plan, (i.e Bore Well project as approved previously) so that things are corrected and a lot of budget is saved.
Further District Hospital at Jagti Township has not sufficient doctors, medicines and equipments to meet the need of the patients. As such proper facilities be provided to the patients, he said.
He said there is also not proper sanitation in the Colony where the administration has accommodated near about 4222 families and there is every apprehension of spread of epidemic particularly when Covid cases are increasing this time.
