12 rolls of banned Chinese Manja recovered

JAMMU, July 30: In a drive against the sale of banned synthetic threads (Manja), various raids were conducted in different locations by Jammu Police and during the process, Arnia Police recovered 12 rolls of the banned Manja.
Acting on specific information regarding sale of banned Manja, a police team led by SHO Police Station Arnia Inspector Devinder Singh raided the said place and recovered 12 bundles of Chinese Manja (Gattu) .
In this connection, a case under FIR number 71/2022 u/s 188 IPC was registered at Police Station Arnia and the accused was arrested. The arrest was made in violation of DM order regarding ban on sale of plastic/synthetic threads (manja). The arrested person was later identified as Sahil Gupta son of Subash Gupta, resident of Arnia.
