JAMMU, Dec 5: Four -day Agri-Fest-2019 ‘Kairos 3’, comprising of literary, cultural and sports events concluded in the Chatha Campus of SKUAST Jammu with the distribution of prizes among the winners.
Dr K S Risam, Vice Chancellor was the chief guest during the valedictory function. In his address, he appreciated the efforts of organizing committee and the students in holding the Agri-Fest and also complimented the winners of various competitions.
The organization of Agri Fest in a big way was started three years back with a vision that such type of events inculcate the habit of competition, sportsmanship, team building and leadership among the students.
In his address the Chairman of the Agri-Fest, Dr D P Abrol informed the house that in future such type of festival are being organized in the Faculty of Agriculture and assured the students for whole hearted support in such events . Dr T A S Ganai, Director Education also spoke on the occasion.
The winners of the various events, including students as well as faculty, were felicitated with the awards and certificates.
The officials present on the occasion, included Dr J P Sharma, Director Research; Dr Deepak Kher, Director Planning; Rajesh Talwar, Registrar and Comptroller; Dr Bharat Bhushan, Joint Registrar; Dr V K Wali, Dr RK Salgotra, Dr Sanjay Guleria, Dr Sushil Sharma, Dr Sanjay Khar and other faculty members.
Dr Parshant Bakshi, Chairman, Management Committee; Dr Arvinder Singh, Organizing Secretary; Dr Vikas Sharma, President Teaching Association; Dr Moni Gupta, Dr Sachin Gupta, Dr Anil Bhat,Dr Deep Ji Bhat, Dr Amit Jasrotia and Ali Haider Shah, Joint Organizing Secretary of the event, were also felicitated with mementos for their tireless efforts in organizing this event.
