JAMMU, Dec 4: Former Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court Justice Permod Kohli and president J&K High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA) M K Bhardwaj released two books authored by Advocate Rameshwar Singh Jamwal, titled “Misgoverned Kashmir, the Indian Bane” and “The Sixth Force in Cosmos” in the Bar Room of J&K High Court at Jammu.
They were accompanied by senior lawyers Sunil Sethi, UK Jalali, K S Johal, Surinder Kour, B B Gupta, Rahul Bharti, Ramesh Arora, H C Jhalmeria, and others. While speaking on the occasion, Justice Permod Kohli said that Jamwal has written on topics which have national and international ramifications. He said that the books give an ample opportunity to the intelligentsia to view the problem in J&K from a different perspective and the ways to tackle the problems from a different mode.
M K Bhardwaj said that it is noteworthy that J&K High Court Bar Association has once again taken a lead in starting a debate to find a permanent solution to the vexed problem and he hoped that there will be discussions and seminars on the topics in the near future. He said that all religions give us the message of brotherhood and bar is epitome of brotherhood.
Advocate Rameshwar Singh Jamwal, author of the books and president Criminologists Society, while throwing light on the salient features of the books said that all his three books written so far have strong linkages with his earlier works and his endeavours of past 32 years, in which he has tried to give solutions to many pressing problems of the country and the UT of J&K by different kinds of endeavours.
Jamwal said the book throws light on many unknown factors about the historical and present messed up issues and he has tried to offer a different kind of solution to the lingering Kashmir problem, which can be of much use, if peace is to be established in the UT and avenues of progress are to be made to the residents of UT of J&K.
The function was attended by many former presidents, office bearers of J&K High Court Bar Association, Young Lawyers Association.
Ranjeet Singh Jamwal, prominent Advocate conducted the proceedings of the programme with the help of Rakeshwar Durswal, Deepali Kapoor, Adeep Bandral and Rahul Sharma (Advocates). Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed, Zulaknain, Sarfraz Rather and many other leading lawyers were also present on the occasion.
