SRINAGAR, Jan 16: Mother of Additional Director General of Police, Armed S M Sahai passed away today at her residence Raju Park near Khanpur, New Delhi after a brief illness.
Jammu and Kashmir police condoled the demise of Swarn Lata Sahai, mother of ADG Armed S M Sahai. She was cremated at 4 pm at Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in New Delhi. A large number of senior police officers, prominent citizens and political leaders attended the cremation.
Condolence meetings were held in Armed Police Headquarters and APC Zewan in which officers and Jawans expressed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved officer and his family and prayers were held for eternal peace to the departed soul.
At Armed Police Headquarters the condolence meeting was chaired by IGP Headquarters APHQ. Mukesh Singh while DIG Armed North Range Kashmir Mushtaq Sadiq alongwith commandants of various Kashmir based JKAP/IRP units attended the condolence meeting at APC Zewan. A two minute silence was observed to pay homage to the departed soul.
Governor N N Vohra, has expressed grief on the sad demise of mother of S M Sahai.
In a message of condolence, the Governor has conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
To mourn the demise of Swarn Lata Sahai a condolence meeting was held at Police Headquarters (PHQ) here today.
Chaired by Director General of Police, K. Rajendra Kumar and attended by senior police officers, the meeting observed two minute silence.They expressed their grief and sorrow on behalf of all ranks of Jammu and Kashmir Police on the demise of Mrs Sahai. They conveyed their condolences to S. M. Sahai and expressed their sympathy with the bereaved family in this hour of sorrow.
