REASI, Dec 28: At least eight persons were injured, four of them seriously in a group clash in Talwara area of district Reasi this evening.
A police spokesman said that two rival families of Iqbal Gulla and Ishtiaq had clash over an old land dispute at Kolsar village in Talwara area today. Both sides freely exchanged lathis and sharp edged weapons during the clash. Eight persons on both sides were injured during the clash. They also resorted to stone pelting on each other.
The injured were later removed to Reasi hospital. They were identified as Zakir Hussain, Mohd Iqbal, Shah Nawaz, Ishtiaq, Mohd Ashraf, Basharat Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed and Ghulam Rabbani. Zakir, Shah Nawaz, Iqbal and Ishtiaq were later referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu. Reasi police has registered a case in this connection.
