2 new books of Pyari Razdan hit stands

JAMMU, Oct 15: Two new books of Pyari Razdan, Maaj Kasheeri Hund Bajar and Kung Fulai hit stands today.
The books were released at an impressive function organized by Pt. Omkar Nath Shastri, Swami Kumar Ji and Prof A K Ogra which was organized by Vijeshwar Jyotshi Karyalya, Gole Gujral.
The book Maaj Kasheeri Hund Bajar enlightens about the visit of Jagat Guru Adi Shankaracharya to Kashmir over 1000 years back and in this book the author has highlighted that Shankarcarya did not believe in powers of Shakti till his visit to Valley and for him only Lord Shiva was supreme. But it was a little girl whose poking words inspired him and thereafter he came to know about the powers of Mata Shakti at the Shankarcharya hill in Srinagar Kashmir.
The other book Kongh Fulai contains bhajans with emphasis on religious places of Kashmir. The speakers highly acclaimed both the books and said that they will prove useful for the next generations to know more about their religious places of Kashmir which are the great cultural monuments also.
In her address Pyari Razdan gave a brief description of both the books as well as the religious places of Kashmir about whom she had written the one book. She also threw light on Shankaracharya’s visit to Valley over one thousand years back and his association with the Kashmiri Brahmans there. She said Adi Guru Shankracharya was highly impressed by spiritual powers of the Brahmins of Kashmir at that time.
Razdan who is a poetess and writer has been conferred with prestigious Laleshwari Award by Pandit Prem Nath Shastri Sanskritik Shodh Sansthan.
Her earlier books are Kashur Ramayan, Bhagwat, Sudhama Charitra, Bhajans and Short stories.
Earlier one cassette Kong Fulai has been launched whose, lyrics was given by Pyari Razdan and these bhajans are regularly broadcast on Radio Sharda 90.4 FM.
