KATHUA, Oct 15: Former minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma while addressing a monthly meeting at village Kandharano in Ramkote tehsil of Billawar constituency flayed betrayal of the BJP with the people of Jammu province in all aspects for the main reason of remaining in power at any cost.
He said while the BJP Ministers were enjoying comforts, the hapless people were still nurturing the dream of good governance which however has remained elusive since the formation of BJP-PDP Coalition Government in this State. He added that BJP had made tall promises at the time of elections which have never been fulfilled.
Manohar Lal Sharma criticised the Central Government over steep rise in the prices of essential commodities as a result the common man is the worst sufferer. He said elected Government has become highly unpopular due to its anti-people policies and it has lost the confidence of the masses and as far as transparency in its functioning was concerned, it was nowhere in sight.
