2 minor girls rescued after rape

JAMMU, Mar 15: Two minor girls of Uttar Pradesh were kidnapped and one of them was raped by a youth in Bhaderwah town of Doda district. Police have rescued both the girls and nabbed the accused.
Police said two minor girls of Uttar Pradesh, who were putting up in Kishtwar town as their fathers were working there as masons, were kidnapped by Abdul Qayoom, son of Khizer Mohammad, a resident of Pasri, Bhaderwah from Kishtwar.
Acting after the complaint, police parties headed by DySP Kishtwar Farooq Qaiser, conducted raids and rescued the girls from Bhaderwah. They were handed over to their family members after medical examination.
Police said the medical examination has revealed that one of the girl had been raped.
Police have taken Abdul Qayoom on six days remand from the court. A case has been registered against him at Kishtwar police station under Sections 363, 341 and 376 RPC for further investigations.
