JAMMU, Aug 22: Yudhvir Sethi, BJP vice president J&K today asserted that Government should not take lightly the remark made by PDP chief, Mehbooba Mufti threatening country of possible Afghanistan like situation as the antecedents of her party allegedly show links with terrorist outfits based in other countries and therefore a thorough probe is a must to unveil the intentions behind this statement indicating insurgence.
Yudhvir Sethi said this during ration distribution event organized by Kartar Mahajan, president Lakhdata Bazaar Traders Organization. It is pertinent to mention that PM Narendra Modi has announced to provide free ration to needy people till Diwali festival.
Taking a tough stand against Mehbooba, Sethi demanded that Government should take note of threatening tone adopted by PDP leader as her party has a dubious background and its youth leader Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra is already behind bars for his alleged involvement in anti-India activities though the matter is subjudice. He demanded that Government should hold inquiry to know whether she was in contact with organizations like Taliban because her remark is indicative of a dangerous plan against India which the country should not take lightly.
“Although, it is not a new thing that PDP leader has spoken against India because she is habitual of spitting venom against the country but looking into the development in Afghanistan and her overzealous boldness about possible upheaval in Kashmir calls for a thorough probe as Government of India cannot take chances as far as J&K is concerned”, he said and added that strict action should be taken against such political leaders who time and again indulge in bashing the country because to a large extent they are responsible for many problems which the nation is facing today.
