JAMMU, Mar 14: BJP J&K vice president, Yudhvir Sethi today said that new technologies are opening opportunities for women entrepreneurs which can effectively remove the gender gap thus empowering the fair sex fraternity to a greater extent.
The senior BJP leader was speaking during the inaugural of New Livewire Center here at Khullar Market, Sector 3 Extension Trikuta Nagar, near BJP head office.
He said that the fast changing technology is opening up new vistas and avenues for women professionals and entrepreneurs to excel in their professions. He asserted that the BJP Government under the stewardship of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is committed to empower the women and is also working for the empowerment of women. He said that BJP Government at the Centre has launched various schemes for the welfare of women. “I am quite confident that this training centre will also work significantly in this direction. It is need of the hour to put special emphasis and take philanthropic steps to empower women because the upliftment of society mainly depends on strengthening women fraternity”, Sethi maintained.
Speaking on the occasion, Anjali Chopra (Center Head), Livewire Centre said that it (Centre) has vast experience in promoting niche training in IT, Electronics & Electricals creating experts for emerging technology industries and specialist technology jobs.
