JAMMU, Oct 23: Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) here today staged a protest demonstration near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh at Tawi Bridge demanding holiday on the birth anniversary of the late Maharaja.
The protest was held under the leadership of Rajan Singh, YRS president.
It is pertinent to mention here that for the last some years, YRS has been demanding holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, the last Hindu ruler of erstwhile J&K State.
Talking to reporters Rajan Singh said that Sabha has decided to stage protest on 23rd of every month near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh at Tawi Bridge till the demand of holiday is not conceded.
The protesters raised slogans in favour of their demand and held saffron flags.
Raghubir Singh, YRS chairman; Surinder Singh Gilli, former YRS president; Balbir Singh, vice president and others were also present in the protest demonstration.
