UDHAMPUR, Mar 12: In separate incidents, a teenaged youth committed suicide by hanging himself while a young housewife sustained burn injuries while cooking food in her house, here today.
Reports said that a youth, identified as Sunil Kumar, son of Om Parkash of Rehmbal, was found hanging with ceiling fan at his house, late last night. He was rushed to hospital by the family members but doctors declared him as brought dead.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained. Police have registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
Meanwhile, a young housewife, identified as Vandna Devi (32) wife of Sat Pal, sustained burn injuries when she was preparing food at her house and pipe of the cooking gas cylinder caught fire. She was rushed to hospital with 25 percent burn injuries and her condition was stated to be stable.
