Youth hangs self; watchman found dead

UDHAMPUR, May 7: A youth committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Adarsh Colony, Ward number 2, Udhampur while a watchman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in an industrial unit, here today.
The deceased was identified as Amit Kumar (25), son of Jang Bahadur. He was found hanged in his room by the parents, who immediately shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur. However, doctors declared him as brought dead.
Cause of taking extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a middle aged watchman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Hunter Gun Factory in Industrial Estate, Dhar Road Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Krishan Bahadur (50) son of Durgha Dutt of Mahindra Nagar, ward no 17 Suka Sal Nepal. He was working as watchman at Hunter Gun factory in Industries Estate Dhar Road Udhampur, where he was found dead this morning.
On being informed, Police took the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for the postmortem and registered a case under Section 174 RPC for further investigation.
Meanwhile, Udhampur police today recovered two dead bodies of drowned Army Jawans who were washed away while taking bath at Baba Parh near Air Force Station Udhampur last evening at about 18 hrs.
Army and Police had launched a massive operation to trace the bodies, which were recovered around 12 noon at the same point. The deceased were identified as 14 EME Jawan, Vinod Singh (23), son of Sardar Singh Gurjar of Suran Pura PS Bijoli (MP) and Havildar, Anshul Kumar (24), son of Shalinder Singh of Shastri Nagar Tehsil Anruja (UP).
After Postmortem, the dead bodies were handed over to the officials of 14 EME Battalion.
