JAMMU, Aug 31: A youth was today found dead under mysterious circumstances in Sainik Colony area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the youth identified as Kanwarjeet Singh, 27, son of Gurdev Singh, a resident of Sainik Colony, was found in unconscious condition this morning along the road between JK Medicity and Sainik Colony.
Some passersby shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. The family members of the deceased said that he left his house yesterday on a two-wheeler and did not return home in the night.
A case has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started under 174 CrPC while the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
