POONCH, Apr 29: A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his car near District hospital, in Poonch city here today.
The deceased has been identified as Deepak Singh alias Deepu, son of Th Shiv Rattan Singh, resident of Khorhinar, Poonch. He was found lying on the front co-driver’s seat, pulled back in full rest position.
Some children found Mauti-800 car No. JK-12/7551 parked at the isolated place near the hospital and a young boy lying unconscious inside during noon. They informed the people of the locality. Then they called police. The police party shifted the youth to hospital where doctors declared him as dead.
The police and the doctors suspect this case of drugs over dose. They pointed out that three such deaths of youth have taken place in Poonch in just past one week. Two days ago, a Sikh youth was found dead under similar conditions in the town. The police has taken cognizance of the case.
The police said some youth/ friends were believed to be with him, who escaped after he died. The investigation has been launched in this connection.
