JAMMU, Apr 14: A 22-year-old youth apparently ended his life by hanging inside his room at Saini Ke Kothey area under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah today.
The deceased has been identified as Nikhil Saini son of Kuldeep Raj of Saini Ke Kothey, Bishnah. Officials said Nikhil was spotted hanging inside his room under mysterious circumstances by his family members, who informed the police.
Accordingly, he was taken to a hospital in Bishnah, where he was declared as dead on arrival, they said.
While the body has been handed over to the family members for performing the last rites, police have initiated inquest proceedings to further probe into the matter.
