JAMMU, July 23: A 27-year-old youth allegedly made an abortive bid on his life by cutting his throat at Purani Mandi, here today.
“Rahul Singh son of late Kuldeep Singh, resident of House No 64, Link Road (Purani Mandi, Jammu) was found in a pool of blood at his home with his throat cut and some cut marks on arms also”, a police official said.
He said the victim was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu by the neighbours where doctors performed a throat surgery on him. “He is unfit for making any statement as his condition is stated to be serious”, the official added.
The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
