RAJOURI, Apr 14: A young housewife was died under mysterious circumstances at her in-laws’ house at village Swari in Kotranka Tehsil of Rajouri district today.
The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Naseem Akhtar, wife of Abdul Majid, resident of Swari in Kotranka. She reportedly died under msyerious circumstances at her in-laws’ house during morning hours today.
A police official said that they received information from family that Naseem Akhtar has committed suicide by consuming some stuff. He said that a police party was sent to the spot and body was shifted to Kotranka hospital for postmortem.
A case under Section 174 CrPC has been registered in this connection. However, the parents of the girl have alleged murder and she was being harassed on different pretexts for the last several months. Further, investigation was in progress, the police said.
