YAIKS holds convention, discusses issues of youth

JAMMU, Oct 2: To chalk out the future strategy in seeking justice for displaced unemployed youth and over-aged section of the community, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) organised a one day convention here, today under the leadership of its president, R K Bhat.
It resolved to launch a comprehensive struggle for the redressal of the demands of community youth. The YAIKS, which is spearheading the struggle of displaced Pandits in general and for its youth in particular decided to fight the survival issues of the displaced youth vigorously so that every unemployed and over-aged youth gets justice in a stipulated time frame.
The one -day convention appealed the UT administration to take the cognizance of the issue of unemployed left over candidates (LOC), who are fighting their struggle for last three years. The convention further appealed to Lt. Governor to resolve the long pending demand of over aged section of the community who are the first victim of displacement.
R K Bhat asked Lt. Governor to sanction 15,000 more jobs and onetime special compensation for 15,000 over-aged youth of the community who could not take any benefit of PM’s rehabilitation package.
During the occasion Kartik Bhat, who recently cracked NEET examination with AIR 1018 rank was honoured. He was congratulated by all the members present in the convention and they encouraged him for the future endeavours.
Among others who addressed the gathering includes it’s advisors D N Bhat and Avtar K Dhar, Manoj Handoo, vice president, B K Bhat – general secretary, Sanjay Raina, secretary media and others.
The programme was compared by general secretary of the Organisation, Sanjeev Koul while the welcome address was presented by Neeraj Koul and vote of thanks by Sanjay Ganjoo – vice president.
