Workshop on Ethical Hacking concludes at Kathua Campus

JAMMU, Jan 10: Two-day hands-on workshop on the theme ‘Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking’ organized by Department of Computer Science and IT, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu in collaboration with Secuneus Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Jalandhar concluded today.
The key objective of the workshop was to provide an exposure to the students of MCA Department in the field of ethical hacking and cyber security to enhance their knowledge in the domain. A total number of 40 students have participated in the workshop. The second day of the workshop held five interactive sessions with main emphasis on hands-on sessions.
Professor Meena Sharma, Rector, Kathua Campus and Chief Coordinator Campuses, University of Jammu in her message congratulated the students of MCA Department who have participated in the workshop. She further exhorted that participation in these types of workshops is quite significant in shaping the future of the students to face the challenges of corporate life. She added that the primary aim of the workshop was to introduce the relevance of ethical hacking and cyber security in a wide range of academic and real-life problems.
The resource persons for the workshop were Palvinder Singh, CEO and Founder of Secuneus Technologies and Abhijeet Singh, Senior Security Analyst from Secuneus Technologies. They trained the students with skills of an ethical hacker or a cyber security expert. Additionally, they covered Web Applications Attacks, Google Dorks, Wi-Fi Security and Mobile Hacking and Security. The experts have provided a variety of applications tools to the students to practice and learn the skills of resolving various malicious attacks.
Earlier, Sourabh Shastri, Incharge Head of the Department and organizing secretary of the workshop presented the workshop report. He further said that this was due to the cooperation of faculty and students who made this event a great success. The valedictory session was coordinated by Parul Sambyal, student of MCA Department. Pankaj Khajuria, Paramjit Kour, Riti Prakash Singh Katal, Sunny Sharma, Bhimanyu Dev Singh Billawaria, Gaurav Sharma, Rakshit Khajuria and Sarabjeet Singh were also present.
