CHANDIGARH, Apr 28:
Development will not be allowed to suffer due to fund constraints, Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said as he asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had brought in a new agenda of governance.
He added that the Urban Development ministry has created a separate division for transportation which will help states augment their infrastructure.
Naidu, the minister for Urban Development and Information and Broadcasting, said this at a press conference after presiding over a meeting to review the various schemes being implemented by his ministries.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had brought in a new agenda of development and governance and the entire political dialogue has focused on this.
The concept of “One India-One Nation” has been reinforced with this agenda, he added.
Referring to Haryana, Khattar said that the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) and the Ministry of Urban Development would support all major projects of the state through their schemes.
He said that recently the Ministry had also built a separate division for transportation and the same would support the states need for augmenting transportation in its cities and urban habitations.
Naidu assured that development would not be constrained due to funds.
Earlier the Union Minister while presiding over a meeting of senior officers related to the Information and Broadcasting ministry said that the All India Radio and Doordarshan should focus on local dialect, Haryanvi culture and other aspects related to the state. (PTI)
