UDHAMPUR, Apr 28: KV-1 Udhampur celebrated its Annual Day with great pomp and show, here today.
Brig. Balbir Singh, Deputy GOC, HQ 71 Sub Area cum Chairman, VMC was the chief guest on the occasion, while Col Sumeet Dua, Col. (Training) and Nominee Chairman KV-1 Udhampur graced the occasion as the guest of honour.
They were escorted by Colour Party where the Scouts/Guides as well as NCC Cadets smartly Marched on the Beats.
The programme started by the presentation of bouquets & badges to the dignitaries by the representative students followed by the lighting of the lamp along with the chanting of Vedic Mantras. A melodious Welcome Song was followed by a Welcome Speech and Presentation of Annual Report by the Venue Principal, Rajesh Pandey.
The budding talents of primary and secondary wing along with the teachers were given the prizes and certificates by the chief guest.
A Social Development Organisation Komal Sparsh Society’s President, Pramod Chunni, Ex-student of KV-1 Udhampur along with his associates distributed blazers among meritorious students of class 6th to 9th and 11th.
A decorative and wonderful cultural programme started with Saraswati Vandana.
Highly energetic students of primary wing stole every ones’ heart by their Fusion Dance. A ‘Mini India’ was visible when dances of almost all the states were presented. A theme based hilarious One Act Play ‘Shraddhanjali’ depicted the conflict between the generations. Filled with patriotic theme a Mime Show was also presented which was duly appreciated.
Vote of thanks was given by Vikramaditya, Senior most PGT.
The day came to an end by the National Anthem. Sanjay Kumar PGT Hindi, Jyotsna TGT English along with students namely Divansh, Prapti, Gopika, Monishka, Chandani and Theerdha coordinated the programme.
